As far as the naked child???? She has also become a stripper just like Morgan was at this age. She has also started taking her diaper off when she pees in it!!! Guess we will be working really hard on potty training over Christmas bread when I am at home everyday for a couple weeks.

Tattoo
OK - so the pictures aren't the best, but this was too funny not to share. Ava walked in the kitchen very proud, saying "Mommy, tattoo!" Notice the green marker all over her arms? It was also all over her legs. When I asked her where she got the marker she replied, "Mo-gan" Really???? Isn't she too young to be tattling - or in this case lying????

Shoes, shoes & more shoes
My girls love shoes! We went on a shoe shopping excursion this weekend. Morgan was in desperate need of some new shoes and JC Penny was having an awesome sale. I love shoes too, but always seem to buy more for my kids than I do myself. I have a brown pair, black pair, tennis shoes and flip-flops. Otherwise the shoes in the house belong to the girls. Ava has also caught on to the obsession. She walks around the house wearing everyone else's shoes. You should have seen her while we were shopping. She kept walking over to the display shoes and trying to put them on her feet while I was helping Morgan. She got quite upset when it was time to go and I had to put her old boring shoes back on. She did walk out with one new pair, but Morgan got 3 new pair! Lucky her!! She also got a new pair a few weeks ago. As you can see from the pictures - red, silver, black, brown & Ava's new pair! Yep - it's genetic! Ask my mom and she will confirm that for you!

Is it Christmas yet?
We are all ready for Christmas, but Morgan is especially excited. She found this silly Santa hat in her dress-up box from last year and had been wearing it around the house. She keeps asking when we can put up our Christmas tree and each time I answer by saying next week or after Thanksgiving she replies, "That's too long." Each year I look forward to experiencing the magic of Christmas with my girls and wonder how many years I will have left before they figure out that Santa is just Mommy & Daddy. Morgan still hasn't figured it out, but is starting to question me about other things that she sees on TV and reads in books, so I am sure it won't be long. I will try to hold on to the magic for as long as I can........

Fall Photos
I finally had the chance to get the girls out to the park and take some fall pictures. My friend Angie called me up today and asked if I would meet her at the park to take family photos of her and her family so I thought it would be a perfect time to take the girls and get some pictures of them too! We were out there for about 1 1/2 hours and the girls had a blast. The park is so beautiful this time of year. Of course I couldn't leave the photos be just as they were - so there is some editing on most of them. Some I like more than others.

Naked Ladies.....
OK - so did I get your attention?? We have had a less than an exciting week.....not much going on.....a lot of the same. I have neglected my photo taking and hate posting without a photo, so here you go.......a view of my bathtub. Why is it that Barbie is always naked?? I don't know how many Barbies we have, but there isn't a single one with clothes!!

Just Playing
So it's been awhile since I have posted. Not much happening around here. Just a lot of the same. We are looking forward to a long weekend coming up next week, Thanksgiving week! I am sure we will come up with some fun things to do, along with a lot of relaxing! I have decided that it is time for me to upgrade my photo editing program to allow me to do more with my photos. Right now I have Microsoft Digital Image Pro that my dad bought for me several years ago. It works ok and does some basic things, but I want more. I downloaded a trial version of Photoshop Elements 7 this week to see how I like it. Right now, I don't know enough about it to figure out how to really use it - so may need to take a class or buy Photoshop for Dummies. But.....I do like it much better than what I am using now. Maybe Santa will bring Photoshop to me for Christmas!! You can see from the pictures below what I have done so far. I used the same picture for comparison. The first is the original. The last one is my favorite.

Let me know what you think! And....if you are a Photoshop user - comments and suggestions are welcome! Have a great week everybody and hopefully I will have some new pictures posted soon!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.......
OK - so it really doesn't look like Christmas in Kansas, as far as the weather goes, but the day after Halloween the Christmas music was playing in Wal-mart and Christmas decorations were going up! It seems silly to start so early, but I LOVE CHRISTMAS, so it doesn't bother me one bit! I love everything about Christmas; shopping for the latest and greatest toys, playing with the display toys in toy stores, listening to Christmas music, looking for new decorations that I must have, church programs, old Christmas movies, visiting family in Iowa, etc. etc. etc. I get so excited this time of year just like I did as a little girl. Today, I took pictures of the girls so I could work on Christmas cards. They had fun playing with the wrapping paper and opening the fake presents! I wanted to get some pictures outdoors, but it was way too windy and way too cold! I don't know what I am going to do when it REALLY starts to get cold. When I talked to my mom today, she said they had snow in Iowa and it was only 20 degrees! I guess that is okay with me - the girls always get a chance to play in the snow when we go back for Christmas. Here in Kansas there are never any guarantees.

Having Girls!
It's no secret, I love having girls! Sometimes I wish I would have had a sister growing up, but I was lucky enough to have some great girlfriends!! Now that I have girls of my own I am able to hang out with them and do those fun girly things that all moms should do once in awhile! I need to remember to forget about the daily "to dos" and remember to sit down and play. That is what we did today! We played "Beauty Shop" and boy were we beauties when we were through! I'm telling you, we could win contests!
Morgan doing my hair

Mascara?? I don't think so!

Ava helping with Mommy's makeup - not sure lipstick
goes on the cheek, but isn't it pretty anyway?

Beauty Queen! Watch out Tyra Banks!

Ava got in on the action too!

Somehow I love her enough to use my Cannon! Until I saw the
fingerprint on the lens!

Watch out for this one in about 8 or 9 years!

What an awesome time we had! I haven't laughed so much in a long time! This is what it's like to be a little girl and they let me play! Now imagine how things would have been if I would have had boys!! I'd be sitting around watching football and playing with trucks, YUCK!!
