Vegas

OK! So my Internet finally cooperated long enough for me to get pictures posted! Vegas was a blast and a well deserved break! Even though I was there for work I still found plenty of time to sit back and relax by the pool and have some fun with my friends at night! We had many late nights and didn't get much sleep, but enjoyed every minute of it! Sorry for the poor quality - pictures are straight from my camera and of course I wasn't going to take my nice camera with me either! I am afraid it wouldn't have survived this trip! LOL!! This year we made it downtown to Fremont Street. I think that was my favorite part of the whole trip! Maybe because we went our first night there and I wasn't exhausted yet!!

Last year the volcano at Mirage wasn't working yet - so we got to see that this year!

And of course we had to see the fountains at Bellagio - several times!

Vegas is one of my favorite places to go! Exhausting, yes, but absolutely fun!! I hope I can go back again! :-)

I'm Back!!!

I had good intentions of updating my blog last night with pictures from my trip to Vegas last week, but due to technical difficulties (crazy Internet service) I didn't get them posted! I will work on it this weekend so come back and visit! I had a great time! We were there for work, but always find time to have (a little too much) fun too!

Going to the Zoo!

About a week and a 1/2 ago, Dana's parents were here for a visit. The weather was nice enough to head outside for a trip to our local free zoo. The zoo is small, but the kids never get tired of looking at the animals over and over again. My personal favorites are the turtles and the cotton top tamarins. The girls like to watch the Prairie Dogs, especially when they are standing up barking at each other!

The weather is absolutely wonderful today! I can't wait for more days like this! We spent hours outside playing. I took some time to lay in the warm sun while the girls played on their slide and in the rocks. Dana is also busy digging a garden for us so we can plant some vegetables this year. Morgan is thrilled to help! He had her moving dirt today! So far she has picked out cucumbers, carrots, pumpkins, sunflowers, lavender, & green beans. We will also be putting in a tomato plant, peppers and maybe some onions so we can make salsa! Can't wait for summer!

Nikki Needs.....

OK so Lisa tagged me, so I have to do this! This has been going around on Facebook. This is what you do...... Anyways, you go to Google and enter your name plus the word "needs" all in quotes (so "Nikki needs") It is pretty funny to see what comes up in your search. Spring Has Shown Its Beautiful Face

We spent quite a bit of time outside today. This week has been beautiful! Signs that Spring is just around the corner! We had several days in the 70's this week, which we always welcome this time of year. Grandpa and Grandma Heinen are visiting from Iowa so we had fun playing with them too! We played outside in the dirt, danced in the sprinkles with the threat of storms & found signs of Spring peeking through the dirt. Morgan gets excited when she finds new flowers peeking through!

Here they are enjoying the new Hopscotch game Grandma and Grandpa bought for Morgan's birthday gift! The girls enjoy setting up games in the hallway and can entertain each other for long periods of time!

Tomorrow we will be going to our local zoo for an amphibian activity that they have scheduled! Should be a fun time for all of us. And....this is my last week of work before Spring Break, so a much needed vacation is just around the corner! The girls and I will be spending some quality time relaxing and playing for a whole week! Hope the weather continues to be as nice as it was this week!
